London’s cultural diversity is celebrated around the world and Tower Hamlets is proud to be one of the city’s most vibrant and multicultural boroughs. But racism is still an issue in London and harassing someone because of their race is a very serious crime. It can make you feel isolated and angry, and can cause serious tensions within communities. If you’re a victim of racist abuse, no matter what your ethnic background, then the police must investigate and record the incident – whether it takes place in school or out on the streets.
No one should have to put up with racial harassment. If you see it, report it.
