Complaints

What to do if you’re unhappy or want to complain

If you are unhappy or if you have a complaint of any kind about anything at all, tell someone about it. Whether you’re being bullied, neglected, forced to do something that you don’t like, or if you just feel upset and need to talk to someone. Whatever your problem is, it will be taken seriously. You can tell your family, your social worker, your children’s rights officer, your teacher, your solicitor, your independent visitor, your guardian, or anyone that you feel you can trust. There is also a special person in Children’s Social Care who looks into complaints. This person is called the Designated Complaints Officer whose job it is to follow up any complaint that is made by you or on your behalf.

To talk to the Complaints Officer call this freephone number 0800 374176
