If you’re stopped by the police you should always cooperate and avoid aggression. Acting confrontational doesn’t help anyone, but you do have certain rights that you should be aware of. For instance, if you’re not being arrested then you do not have to go to the police station and, if you do go voluntarily, then you have the right to free legal advice before you’re questioned.
