Choosing what to study in years 10 and 11 is sometimes a bit tricky, especially if you don’t have a clear idea what you’re going to do after school. Every learner is different and your learning choices should suit your strengths and ambitions. There are some core subjects that everyone needs to follow that are highly rated by future employers and by universities. But you do also have a choice and there is lots of information available to make you aware of your options.

Start by finding out what learning level you’re at and the different qualifications available to you. If you are aged 14-16 your school has a wide choice of courses for its pupils and will be able to give you details of these. You can also search our course listings to find details of more courses available to you.

Also, if you’re unsure about anything relating to your Key Stage 4 options then you can always talk to a Connexions personal advisor.
