Retail jobs usually involve dealing with customers on some level, so it’s probably not the best career for a shrinking violet, or someone with anger management issues! Confidence and good customer service skills are key for a successful retail career, but it also helps that you have a passion for the products you’re helping to sell, be it clothes, shoes, computer games, or books.
