Youth Work Week took place during the week of 1 November 2010. To mark the occasion, the council’s Youth and Connexions Services showcased its work to residents, both young and old.

Throughout the week, youth projects across the borough opened their doors to anyone who wanted to find out more about youth work and the exciting opportunities that are on offer to younger residents all year round.
Youth and Connexions Services run 40 projects across Tower Hamlets; each one offering activities for young people aged 13-19 and up to 25 for young people with special needs.

And it’s not all table tennis and pool – the council’s youth workers do their utmost to provide worthwhile activities and the best facilities, meaning young people can get involved in anything from camping trips to driving practice and anti-drugs workshops. There’s also an outdoor education base in Mile End Park which has its own climbing wall, mountain bikes, ramps and archery facility.

Youth Work Week takes place from 1 – 7 November!
