Coping with depression isn’t something you should do by yourself. There are plenty of groups that offer counselling, therapy, or a sympathetic ear to listen – and you’d be surprised at how comforting it can be to just sit down and talk to someone!
But while depression affects most people at one time or another, some individuals have much more serious mental health conditions that require attention. Many of these conditions, such as Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia, first emerge during late teens and early adulthood.
